Task 3.3 My Job Role
I am the producer of our movie, my job role has alot of responsabilities, a film producer is someone who makes the conditions for a movie, co-ordinates the movie, supervises, and hires and instructs key members of staff, the producer is used throughout the making of the film to the completion of the production.
The producer is the individual who has the most involvement and oversight with the movie.
The initial idea for a project often comes from a producer, who will oversee each project from conception to completion and may also be involved in the marketing and distribution processes. A producer or executive producer is required to report directly to the client.
Producers work closely with directors and the other production staff on the shoot. Increasingly, they need to have directing skills themselves as it is likely that the producer will also be the director and take care of all project operations. Producers arrange funding for each project and are responsible for keeping the production within the allocated budget.
In conclusion the producer is one of the most important roles in the production of a film.
